Crispy Potato Chips with Creamy Dipping Sauce
Ingredients (Serves 4)
Potato Chips
- 800 g potatoes (starchy or all-purpose)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp fine salt (adjust to taste)
- Black pepper, to taste
- ½ tsp garlic powder (optional)
- ½ tsp paprika (sweet or smoked, optional)
- Fresh parsley, finely chopped (optional)
Creamy Sauce
- 150 g plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Potatoes
Wash the potatoes and peel if desired. Slice into thin rounds (about 2–3 mm). Rinse under cold water to remove excess starch, then dry thoroughly. - Season
Toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, pepper, and optional spices until evenly coated. - Cook
- Oven: Preheat to 200°C (390°F). Arrange slices in a single layer on a lined baking tray. Bake for 20–25 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.
- Air Fryer: Cook at 180°C (356°F) for 15–18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- Make the Sauce
In a bowl, mix yogurt, mayonnaise, ketchup, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and pepper until smooth. - Serve
Sprinkle with parsley and serve hot with the dipping sauce.
