Santa’s Cheesy Delight: A Christmas Classic

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
12 ounces uncooked pasta (such as rotini or penne)
1 cup ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic until the beef is browned and the onion is soft. Drain any excess fat.
Transfer the beef mixture to a slow cooker. Add in the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper. Stir until well combined.
Stir in the uncooked pasta, making sure it’s evenly distributed in the sauce.
Spoon dollops of ricotta cheese over the pasta mixture.
Cover and cook on low for 3-4 hours, or until the pasta is tender.
About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses on top and allow them to melt.
Serving Tips:
Serve this cheesy delight as the perfect holiday centerpiece.
Pair it with a fresh salad and garlic bread for a complete, comforting meal.
For an extra indulgence, top with more Parmesan before serving.
